About Me (she/her)
Who am I?

I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and moved to the United States when I was nine. For the longest time, my favorite pastime has been making stories and drawing whatever comes to mind.

I like to think of myself as a creative scientist, and I say this for a variety of reasons. I spend a ridiculous amount of time creating complex, glamorous anomalies—researching, drawing, perceiving, exploring, and asking questions, all to satisfy the itch to make a story or create a character. Like a scientist searching for answers to questions they haven't even thought to ask yet.

I have high expectations for myself and my work. When I make something, I want it to feel weird, energetic, and alive because, in my head, I can already see it.
That is both a strength and something I'm still learning to work with. I can become attached to the version I've imagined, but filmmaking is collaborative. I'm learning to loosen my grip—not on the passion, but on the picture in my head—and let an idea become something better than what I originally imagined.
